North York, Ontario
Sept 1, 2017

The North York Renegades have added former OHL Star Darryl Lloyd as an Assistant Coach for the 2017-2018 Season. Lloyd, 33,  is native to Pickering, Ontario and is finishing an outstanding 12 year Professional hockey career.

Lloyd was a three year star for the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, amassing 200 major junior games.

After wrapping up his OHL career, Darryl went on to play in the ECHL with a short stint in the AHL. After six successful pro seasons in North America Darrly pursued European professional hockey in the EIHL with the Belfast Giants.

Head Coach Ryan Ramsay had a ton of positive things to say about Darryl joining the staff: "He is a long-time friend of mine," said Ramsay, "he was a incredible hockey player that has developed some great relationships in Europe. He will help us in both recruiting European talent to North York and advancing our guys who may have interest in European professional hockey."
