The North York Renegades have added forwards Joe Taylor and Raffaele Maietta to their 2016 – 2017 Greater Metro Hockey League roster with Taylor coming from the GMHL Toronto Attack while Maietta joins the Renegades after playing for the Toronto Predators in 2015 – 2016.

The 21 year old Taylor had 31 goals and 29 assists in 42 regular season games in 2015 – 2016 while tallying a total of 59 minutes in penalties. The 6’0” and 165 lbs Ajax, Ontario native added ten goals and five assists in eight post – season games in the spring of 2015 with the Attack.

Maietta returns to the Renegades after playing 47 games between the Toronto Attack and Toronto Predators from the second half of the 2014 season to the end of the 2016 season. In those 47 regular season games from 2014 – 2016, the 20 year old Markham, Ontario native had 25 goals and 34 assists. The 5’9” and 170 lbs forward accumulated a total of 72 penalty minutes.

In 24 regular season games in the first half of the 2014 – 2015 GMHL season, Marietta had 14 goals and 21 assists and 84 minutes in penalties with the Renegades in North York.

Marietta and Taylor will both be in North York’s line – up on October 1st when the (3 – 0) Renegades host the Lincoln Renegades in a 4:45 p.m puck drop.
