In St. George, Ontario on January 22nd in an afternoon matinee, the second place St. George Ravens hosted the fifth place North York Renegades in south division Greater Metro Hockey League action. The Renegades are coming off a 5 – 2 win over the Toronto Attack 24 hours earlier in North York.

With 1:52 left in the opening period, Raven Scott Dorion sinks the first goal with a pass from Corey Flemington to give St. George a 1 – 0 lead. Alex Boswell finds the back of North York’s net 1:35 into the middle stanza to give the Ravens a 2 – 0 lead. Tyler Hill and Martin Dlugolinsky had the assists on Boswell’s goal. Dorion fires the Ravens third of the contest at the 6:09 mark of the period on a St. George unassisted goal.

At 16:01 of the second, Flemington sends the Ravens into the second intermission up 4 – 0 with Greg Christmas and Hill setting up Flemington’s goal. Marc – Anthony Lacroix scores the Renegades lone goal of the game with 29 seconds left in the game with a pass from David Maikawa. North York’s Evan Purdy stopped 33 of 37 shots in Renegades 4 – 1 loss in St. George.

The (24 – 9 – 1) Renegades will head to Oshawa on January 23rd to face the (11 – 21 – 3) River Kings in a 8:30 p.m start.
