In North York on January 14th in a south division match – up, the fourth place North York Renegades hosted the third place St. George Ravens in Greater Metro Hockey League action.

Tyler Hill sank the opening goal of the game 14:24 into the first to give the Ravens a 1 – 0 lead with Adam Polomsky and Alex Boswell adding the contributors. With an unassisted goal and finding the back of North York’s net, Hill gives St. George a 2 – 0 lead 2:53 into the second period. Zach Riley fires the Renegades first of the game 3:57 in period with a pass from David Maikawa to bring the game to 2 – 1. Greg Christmas sinks the visitors third of the game at the 5:51 mark of the period with an assist from Miller Hatten. With St. George on a power play, Carter Tracey sends the Ravens into the second intermission up 4 – 1. Plolmsky and Michael Polito added the helpers on Tracey’s power play marker.

On a power play, Scott Dorion adds the Ravens lead 5:34 into the third to increase the lead to 5 – 1. Corey Flemington and Hatten added the helpers on St. George’s fifth of the game. With 1:15 left in the contest, Jordan Clarke scores the final goal of the game to give the Ravens a 6 – 1 win over the Renegades. Martin Dlugolinsky and Polomsky had the assists on Clarke’s goal. North York’s Simone Pilon and Evan Purdy shared the goaltending duties for North York on Saturday evening with Pilon and Purdy allowing goals each in the Renegades loss.

The Renegades will meet the Toronto Predators in GMHL action on January 15th in a 7:30 p.m match – up.
