After a 5 – 1 win in North York on November 3rd against the London Lakers, the North York Renegades hosted the Kingsville Kings 24 hours later at the Canlan Ice Sports York in a 4:45 p.m afternoon Greater Metro Hockey League regular season match – up.

With the Kings on a power play 2:07 into the opening period, Jiri Sup and Matyas Mach set up Filip Kafka to give Kingsville a 1 – 0 lead. Steven Santos sinks the tying goal for North York at 3:27 of the second with Liam Little and Drake Bailey drawing the contributors on Santos goal. With their second power play goal of the contest and giving the Kings a 2 – 1 lead, Jiri Sup finds the back of the Renegades net at 5:29 of the period with Kafka and Thomas McKinnon notching the helpers. Santos fires North York’s second of the game to even the score at 2 – 2 with Little and Bailey registering the assists at 6:10. Connor Ventura sinks the go – ahead goal on a Renegade power play 8:38 into the period with Conor Thomson and Jonathan Schillaci adding the contributors on Ventura’s power play marker. At 14:41 of the period, Kingsville’s Matyas Kasek finds the back of North York’s net for the third power play goal of the period. Marek Malinsky and Daniel Krizek drew the assists on Kasek’s tying goal.

With 1:09 left in the second, Mach gives the visitors a 4 – 3 lead on a Kings’ goal with Sup and Kafka setting up Mach’s power play goal. 3:48 into the third, Murray and Schillaci register the contributors on Pirie’s tying goal for North York to bring the game even at 4 – 4. At 13:15 of the final period, Krizek scores the game winner for Kingsville with Kafka and Jan Prochazka adding the assists. Evan Purdy stopped 18 of 23 shots in the Renegades 5 – 4 loss to the Kings in North York.

The Renegades will now face the Hurricanes in Tillsonburg on November 10th in a 7:30 p.m GMHL puck drop.
