RENEGADES SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAM

The North York Renegades of the Greater Metro Hockey League and Ramsay Hockey are offering 2016 Spring and Summer Hockey Program that will include Tuesday and Thursday Nights Elite, Niagara Bauer Hockey Challenge, Carnevale Hockey League and the TEP Showcase Hockey Tournament.

The cost for the 2016 Renegade/Ramsay Hockey program will be $ 1,850.00 and include these four events and be coach by Ryan Ramsay of the North York Renegades.

Tuesday and Thursday Nights Elite

  • Skate: April 5th to June 23rd (24 skates) @ York Canlan
  • • Tuesday 5:00 p.m – 6:00 p.m and Thursday 5:30 p.m – 6:30 p.m
  • • High-intensity flow drills with speed, agility and stick-handling

Niagara Bauer Hockey Challenge

  • April 29th to May 1st (1995- 2000)
  • Spring tournament in Niagara Falls/St Catherine’s area arenas
  • The most heavily scouted Spring tournament by Junior ‘A’ coaches and NCAA and OHL scouts
  • All teams are coached by Ryan Ramsay
  • We provide a program with player bios for scouts; jerseys and socks provided
  • We play to win but equal ice time is afforded to everyone

Carnevale Hockey League

  • Late May to Early August (exact dates coming soon)
  • High-end Jr ‘A’ summer league that plays every Sunday at the Brampton Powerade Centre
  • Games start no earlier than 5PM and no later than 9PM
  • OHL, NCAA Division 1 and 3, Jr ‘A’, Midget ‘AAA’ players all participate
  • Great opportunity to prepare for Jr ‘A’ hockey or just keep the feet going
  • Games are made up of two, 30-minute periods and are refereed by OHL and OJHL refs; there is a strict no fighting policy
  • It is scouted by almost every Jr ‘A’ team in Ontario so there is a great opportunity for exposure

TEP Showcase Hockey Tournament

  • June 24th – 26th (1996- 1999)
  • Summer tournament at Scotiabank Pond (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Heavily scouted tournament by Junior ‘A’ coaches and NCAA and OHL scouts
  • We play to win but equal ice time is afforded to everyone

About Coach Ryan Ramsay
A native of Pickering, Ontario, Ryan was a GTHL standout before being selected by the Peterborough Petes in the first round (13th overall). Ryan was also fortunate enough to represent Ontario at the World Ice Hockey Under 17 Tournament.

After spending time with Peterborough, Kitchener and Plymouth in the OHL, Ryan signed a three-year contract with the St. Louis Blues. In his professional hockey career, Ryan spent 3 seasons in the AHL and the 7 seasons in the DEL (Germany’s First League) with 1 year in the Serie ‘A’ Italian League. Since retiring, Ryan has provided development opportunities for aspiring players in the GTA. In the 2015- 2016 season, Ryan coached the North York Renegades in the GMHL JR ‘A’ league.
