In North York, Ontario on November 11th in an afternoon matinee, the third place North York Renegades hosted the fifth place Niagara Whalers in Greater Metro Hockey League regular season action.

At 5:16 of the first, Zach Main sinks the opening goal for the Whalers to give Niagara a 1 – 0 lead. Nick Pastorious and Jake Lloyd had the assists on Main’s power play goal. Jonathan Schillaci finds the back of Niagara’s net to even the game 1 – 1 at 13:58 of the middle stanza with Adrian Bertie and Steven Santos drew the helpers on Schillaci’s goal. Nicolas Carnovale gives the Renegades a 2 – 1 lead 6:37 in the third with Connor Ventura and Schillaci setting up Carnovale’s go – ahead goal. 17 seconds later, Troy Murray adds to North York’s lead with the Renegades third of the game with Nevin Guenther and Schillaci adding the contributors on Murray’s goal. At ten minutes even in the third, North York’s Chris Martin gives the Renegades a 4 – 1 win over the Whalers with goaltender Evan Purdy and Murray registering the assists. Whaler netminder Will Harvey stopped 22 of 26 shots in North York while Evan Purdy turned away 21 of 22 in the Renegades 4 – 1 win on home ice.

The third place Renegades will take to the ice on November 13th against the eighth place Oshawa Riverkings in Oshawa in a 8:30 p.m start while the Whalers will host the eleventh place Toronto Predators on November 12th at the Vale Centre in Port Colborne. Game time will be a 1:30 p.m afternoon matinee.
