OVERTIME WIN OVER NORTHUMBERLAND

North York had a nail biting win over the Northumberland Star in overtime this weekend. It was a 4:3 final, in favour of the Renegades and gained a valuable two points early in the season.

Starting goaltender Evan Purdy played incredible in the match, named the game's first star with 33 saves.

Outside the crease, Jonathan Schillaci was the best skater on the ice for the Renegades. His two goal, second star honours was a key to victory. One of Jon's goals was the winning Shootout goal for North York.

Also finding the back of the net was Nevin Guenther and David Maikawa. All of North York's goals came in the first 13 minutes of the match.

The Renegades find themselves in the middle of a long road trip. The club has 4 more road games in a row before returning back for a home game.
